Village Farmstand is an online grocery store built to connect passionate small farmers and loyal patrons looking to revolutionize our food system. They bring products directly from the producers, shortening the supply chain and increasing the dollars going to producers. This project grew out of a partnership between filmmaker Matt Wechsler and farmer Marty Travis who met in 2013 when Matt and his wife Annie set out to make a documentary about sustainability in agriculture. The film, Sustainable, was funded in part by SLoFIG members and released in 2016.
